RULES & REGULATIONS
The following rules and regulations will apply to all 2008 entrants.

All entrants are to submit the following verifiable eligibility documentation along with your submission packet:

  • For U.S. tribes, a copy of your C.I.B (certificate of Indian blood). Some exceptions may apply. Contact us for more information.

  • For Canadian Aboriginals, a copy of your status card or other proof of blood quantum.

    *applies to all categories except the "Spirit of the People Award."

    Who is eligible to participate?

    The Native-E Music Awards® is open to all tribally enrolled Native Americans and Canadian Aboriginals. Some exceptions may apply (ie. State recognized, Un-recognized Tribes, adoptions, etc.), please contact us for more information or to provide us with your background situation.

    Any groups where at least one member meets the above criteria, may also enter their group for nomination consideration.

    The "Spirit of the People Award" is open to all others who do not meet the above qualifications. This award honors those who sympathize and respect the plight of the Native American and Aboriginal People and capture that essence within the soul of their music. It is a special honor which represents the utmost respect for which The People hold for the award's recipient(s).

    Once your eligibility documentation has been researched and verified by your respective Tribe, Reserve, Band, community, etc., your submission packet will be further submitted into the nomination process.
