Dick Hodgin has been in the music business for over 25 years as a producer and manager. He relocated to the
triangle in 1982 from South Carolina, and opened M80 Management in 1985. Dick has a reputation for sharp, HONEST,
no punches-pulled advice and counsel.
Over the years, Dick has had to wear about as many hats as there are to wear in the music business: manager,
producer, booking agent, indie label head, publicist, promoter, tour manager, sound man, engineer, travel agent,
baby sitter, radio promoter, and more.
Dick has produced and/or managed such artists as: Lynyrd Skynyrd, Clay Aiken, The Accelerators, Johnny Quest,
Flat Duo Jets, The Bad Checks, Corrosion of Conformity, Far Too Jones, Cravin' Melon, Hootie and The
Blowfish, Confessor, Jason Michael Carrol, and many more!
In addition, Dick was a co-founder of the famed NORTH CAROLINA MUSIC SHOWCASE, has written numerous articles
on the web, moderated music panels for various conferences, does private consultation to signed and
unsigned acts, and is a voting member of the GRAMMYS organization, NARAS.
