Rick Dayton is originally from Seattle, Washington. He went into radio right after high school, taking a job at
a station in Northeast Oregon. After a couple of years there, he moved back to Seattle, where he spent some time
at a couple of stations there. He also had the opportunity to work as the backstage coordinator one year, for
the State's finals of the "Battle of the Bands."
A move to Southern Oregon put Rick working in sales and customer service for a world-wide company, becoming one of
their senior customer service reps. After a lay-off there, Rick went back to work in radio. He spend 3 years as
part of the on-air staff of a local country station. Rick was also a voting member of the Country Music
Association (CMA) while working at this station.
The station was sold and Rick decided to take his show on the road! He's been a mobile DJ for the last 4 years
and loves it! He owns and operates Emerald Mobile Music, in Charlotte, NC. He has recieved a lot of great
reviews from people he has done events for.
Most recently, Rick has created EMM Radio, the internet's newest and fastest-growing country music radio station,
with listeners in 140+ cities and in 32 countries around the world, not including the USA.
Homer Joy (songwriter known for penning the Buck Owens hit "The Streets"), recently told Rick, "We need to start
calling you "The Wolfman Jack" of Country Music!" because Rick gives all country artists an even playing field
on his station, whether they be legends, current mainstream artists, or unsigned indie artists. They are all
treated equally on EMM Radio.
