J.O.C.

Music is my life and my future. I'm doing everything I can right now to put my foot in the game. I've been really into music all my life.
I was born in Syracuse, New York. I've been back and forth from there to Akwesasne all my life. I moved and stayed up here when I was around
8 or 9, and have been back and forth ever since.
I've got so much to bring to the game. Not just with the fact I'ma put the North on the map! I'm also representing all my Native people to
the fullest. My mind frame talents and skills and my life period is what the world has been waiting for. That's what everybody who has ever
met me will tell you.
A little bit more about myself, I could get into so much more detail but It would take years, so that's what my music's for. When I was
15, turned 16, my mother caught cancer. She was hospitalized for over a year. They told me twice that she might die. But she came out of it.
Yet while she was in there I was taking care of myself. Her boyfriend who was supposed to be taking care of me was taking all her money
and smoking crack. So I had to fend for myself. When she got out she was good for a couple of monthws, then she had a break down and went
crazy literally. I took care of her for 3 months and in that three months she had completely lost it.
In the past 5 years, I've had over 7 deaths of family members, all so close. 4 of which were all under 25, and 2 of them were more than
cousing, they were my brothers. I'm an only child. We all grew up together. They moved up to Akwesasne after me, so we were together all
the time. They died a year apart and one was a month older and the other a month younger.
I was into music, but wasn't serious about it til my second cousin died. I wrote a song for him and I showed his mom, she knew a guy from a
studio. I was in there the next day and recorded for the first time ever with no help. After that day I knew music was my calling, cause
that's all I could think about. It took me a year to finally get to where I wanted and started recording. I tried my hardest to get my own
studio going, but I was jumping too far ahead of myself, worried about the wrong things. Then I got arrested and all the money for the
studio went towards my lawyer. So, I recorded a song in a friend's basement and I showed it to my lawyer, figured it would show the Judge
I'm doing something positive with my life, and he said why didn't I tell him about my music in the first place, cause he was into music
for the past 20 years of his life and made a lot of connections and introduced me to a professional studio in Ottawa (www.liverpoolcourt.com).
Now my lawyer wants to do a documentary on me and my music. I haven't told him any of my plans yet. He still already talked to two of the
main TV stations in Canada. I've been aired on CTV news. I've also made the front page of my local newspaper.
So, off that note, I'm
trying to get into everything that has to do with music. There's so much more that I could get into, but I've probably already wrote too
much. I just wanted to give you a little summary of my life and what I'm trying to let the world know. By the way, I'm a blue eyed Indian.
My mother is 100% Mohawk, and my father is 50% Onadaga. I've been through a lot in my life growing up here. I really appreciate it if you
took the time to read all this. The music is just a little bit bout myself and what's going on right now. I'm not gonna stop, just keep
coming! So my music is just only going to get better and more in depth about myself!
