ARLETTE ALCOCK

Arlette is Metis, a descendent of the Blackfoot people on her Mother's side and the Little Black Bear Cree on her Father's side.
She started playing the guitar and writing songs as a young teenager.
Today, these songs are stories that reflect her heritage, spiritually, parents residential schooling, the world around her.
In 1997, she released her debut independent CD "Tribe of One." Her new CD "Wolfgirl" has been a decade in the making and is
available online.
Arlette has shared the stages with many notable performers including Gaye Delorme, Wyckham Porteous, Juno-winner Bill Bourne, and
has opened for Wide Mouth Mason.
Performance highlights include the Flatland Music Festival (Regina, SK), Ness Creek Folk Festival (Big River, SK), North Country
Faire (Joussard, AB), Batoche Days (Batoche, SK), Regina's Aboriginal Music Festival and Centre for the Arts, The 2005 National
Aboriginal Day at the vancouver Art Gallery, the 2005 Celebration Metis, also at the Vancouver Art Gallery and the 2005-7 Union
of BC Indian Chiefs AGA (Vancouver, BC) and the Ucluelet Healing and Wellness Music Festival 2007 (Ucleulet, BC).
National radio interviews include CBC's Richardson's Round-Up, the Afternoon Edition and the National television show APTN's
Beyond Words.
Arlette has two years of Royal Concervatory Vocal training under her belt and continues to study voice privately with the
famous songstress and vocal coach Glenda Rae.
